I had a good weekend at Pat Knox' wedding. I went up Friday afternoon for the rehearsal. I had to pick my tux up between 4:00 & 5:00 pm. I was going to be about 15 minutes early until I hit traffic a few miles North of Fort Wayne. Apparently there were two separate accidents that had traffic backed up. It took me over an hour just to go a couple miles. Ugh! I ended up getting to the tux place right at 5:00. No biggie I guess.
Saturday morning we played 9 holes of golf. It was a scramble and I was paired with Vern & Rob. We didn't do too badly I guess. We got mostly bogeys and ended up with a 47. Considering we're all just idiots and don't have a clue how to play golf, I'd call that a win. :^)
The wedding was at 3:00 that afternoon. Pat was pretty nervous. I didn't hear this until later, but I guess he puked at lunch. He was nervous through the ceremony, too. I don't think he smiled at all until it was over. He was just staring straight ahead like a zombie. It was awesome! We had bets down on whether or not he would cry, throw up (check), pass-out, etc. He came through with flying colors though. Nice job Knox!
It stunk that Jen couldn't come to the wedding with me. Everybody was asking about her and how she was doing. When I met Brock Wollet's new girlfriend she said she was in Med. School. I informed her that her life would soon become a living hell and nice weekends like this would be a thing of the past. I think I scared the crap out of her! Oh well, the truth hurts I guess. (Do I sound bitter? Nah!)
Anyway, congratulations to Pat. Next up is children, then death. Have fun!
